Wow Moment /wau/ int., n., & v.  int.(also wowee /wau’wi:/) Something that makes a potential client say "wow". Particularly desirable when a client looks at your marketing material. Stands out from same old same old and dares to be different. (With apologies to the Oxford English Dictionary.)

Wouldn’t it be brilliant if you could have images in your marketing material that created wow moments for your clients. Maybe, like us, you find it kind of disappointing when a business uses visual clichés; you know the smiling perfect teeth person with obligatory headset to depict customer service and the hot stones on the back of an oiled lady to show a spa treatment centre.

Lovely though these images may be, everybody uses them and therefore they have zero impact. If you haven’t noticed these images before, perhaps that shows just how low impact they are? I don’t know about you but aren’t those images missing the point?

And there, in essence, is what the wow moment is all about: does the image really make your clients stop and think about you and your business? If not, you have zero wow and I'll bet, like us, you think that’s rubbish.
